I'm sure this happens to everyone: You're cleaning and you just happen to find a box of original, unused Raspberry Pi 1 Model A+ V1.1's that have been lying around since 2014. These Pi's are new in the box but the boxes do have a bit of shelf wear and stock tags on them. Since these Raspberry Pi 1 Model A+'s haven't been booted in 8 or so years, we're going to check them to make sure they boot for you. So each one will be carefully removed from the box and anti-static packaging, booted up on our test bench, then safely shut down and repacked so it's ready for you to use when you get it.
The Raspberry Pi 1 Model A+ is a lower-cost, stripped down version of the Raspberry Pi 1 Model B+. It uses less power and removes 3 of the USB ports and the Ethernet port, making it ideal for embedded projects where space and power consumption are at a premium. Even though it uses the old Broadcom BCM2835 single-core processor and only has 256MB of RAM, it is still supported by Raspberry Pi OS.
